Day 5:  Study Notes (Leviticus 4:1-26)

Parsha: Vayikra

Day #5:  Leviticus 4:1-26

(Study Notes)

(Leviticus 4:2)

We must first note that Leviticus 4:2 begins with Hashem declaring "When a person unwittingly incurs guilt," not "if". This confirms that Hashem knows our nature and that He knows that we will sin. SO, Hashem has set in place a system of animals sacrifice, SO the animals are the "rams in the bush" offered so that He does not have to take the life of His people.

  1. Not giving testimony when one is able

  2. Touching anything unclean, making the one who touched the unclean thing unclean.

  3. Touching human uncleanness, making one unclean.

Parsha Vayikra Day 6 (Part 2): Study Notes

(Leviticus 5:1-10)

(Leviticus 5:1-10)

We learn in these verses about the Guilt sacrifice, which is different from the sin sacrifice.

Day 3: Study Notes (Leviticus 2:7-16)

Parsha: Vayikra

Day #3: Leviticus 2:7-16

(Leviticus 2:7)

We learned in the second part of Parsha Vayikra about the Burnt Meal Offerings that are plain, baked, or cooked on a griddle. Today, our portion begins with another accepted preparation of the Meal Offering: prepared in a Pan.

As with the other accepted forms of preparation, the offering prepared in a pan has yet another set of instructions.

The Meal Offering in a pan is to be of choice flour, with oil mixed in.

Day 2: Study Notes (Leviticus 1:14-2:6)

(Leviticus 2:1)

Again, the chapter begins with "WHEN", NOT "IF" as it is written in Leviticus 2:1,

"When a person presents an offering of meal to the LORD".

The word WHEN is not a command. As we have learned previously, this seems to indicate that laws regarding Burnt Grain offerings was already being performed by the Jewish people prior to the formal giving of the Torah.
