Psalms 122

A song of ascents. Of David.

I rejoiced when they said to me,
“We are going to the House of GOD.”

Our feet stood inside your gates, O Jerusalem,

Jerusalem built up, a city knit together,

to which tribes would make pilgrimage,
the tribes of Yah,
as was enjoined upon Israel—
to praise GOD’s name.

There the thrones of judgment stood,
thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the well-being of Jerusalem;
“May those who love you be at peace.

May there be well-being within your ramparts,
peace in your citadels.”

For the sake of my kin and friends,
I pray for your well-being;

for the sake of the house of the ETERNAL our God,
I seek your good.

NEVER FORGET:

About & Prayer:

The October 7 Hostages

#TheyLetOurPeopleGo
#NeverForget, #NeverAgain

After the last hostage was released earlier this year, many in the public sphere have declared that it is time to remove our yellow ribbons and (essentially) move on. But, if we simply toss our ribbons in the trash, do we not run the risk of forgetting not only the tragedy of that heinous day, but also the heroism of the beloved Hostages who fought like warrior angels against the villains of darkness? If we forget, do we not run the risk of a repeat (God forbid!)?

Thus, I leave my ribbon tied.

Every day, I still fight. Every day, I choose life!

So,

I will never forget.

I will always remember.

May Hashem bless every soul motioned,

both living and now at rest.

The History: October 7, 2023

On October 7, 2023--one of the Holiest Days in the Jewish Year, Simchat Torah--Hamas terrorists forcefully entered the Holy Land of Israel, brutally raped, murdered, beheaded, and tortured over 1,200 Jewish and non-Jewish souls mainly in kibbutzim in the western and southwestern parts of the nation of Israel.

These terrorists also took 251 souls hostage,

of which only 168 were released alive.

The final release deal came during Sukkot 2025, which I was privileged to again be in Israel for.

The final living hostage was released on 13 October 2025.

The final deceased hostage was released 24 January 2026.

Again, I cannot explain the ways of Hashem, but by an unrelenting pulling in my neshumah, I knew I had to try to get to Israel again for the High Holy Days 2025. It had been two years since the heinous day of October 7, 2023. I had little to my name, an expired Passport (last used for my October 2023 trip), and about a month to make all arrangements.

I said many prayers and put it all in Hashem's hands. There was nothing to be done except for miracles of Hashem. And, one after another, doors miraculously began opening. On the trip over to Israel, more miracles. When I arrived in the Holy Land, more miracles.

The same light that had guided me on my first journey appeared every day when I prayed at the Kotel. No matter if it was raining, if I sat under a building, if I sat behind a building, or in a corner-- the light of Hashem shone upon me as if to tell me He was there, He was watching, He was protecting, and miraculously working.

Then, a few days prior to Simchat Torah 2025, The American  President, Mr. Donald Trump along with Israel's Prime Minister Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu (along with a huge helping of Hashem's miracles) made a deal to free the final hostages on Simchat Torah!

Baruch Hashem!

Thus, though the wars rage on with Iran, other nations, and terror groups who seek the end of us Jews and the Jewish Nation State (Israel), let us not forget about the events and people of October 7, 2023! Let us keep the flame of their lives burning bright and may Hashem bless and protect those still alive. May Hashem give eternal peace to those souls whom He has gathered to the life to come! May we all see the coming of moshiach quickly in our days so that these souls may be re-given life everlasting!

We praise Hashem for the Miracles of the final releases!

Yet, may we do our part and never forget,

because never again is now.

ו [God] has broken my teeth on gravel,
Has ground me into the dust.

My life was bereft of peace,
I forgot what happiness was.

I thought my strength and hope
Had perished before GOD.

ז To recall my distress and my misery
Was wormwood and poison;

Whenever I thought of them,
I was bowed low.

But this do I call to mind,
Therefore I have hope:

ח The kindness of GOD has not ended,
And God’s mercies are not spent.

They are renewed every morning—
Ample is Your grace!

“GOD is my portion,” I say with full heart;
This is the One in whom I have hope.

ט Good comes to those who trust in GOD,
To the one who seeks God’s presence;

It is good to wait patiently
Till rescue comes from GOD.

Translation:

Magnified and sanctified is the great name of God throughout the world, which was created according to Divine will. May the rule of peace be established speedily in our time, unto us and unto the entire household of Israel.

And let us say: Amen.

May God’s great name be praised throughout all eternity. Glorified and celebrated, lauded and praised, acclaimed and honored, extolled and exalted ever be the name of thy Holy One, far beyond all song and psalm, beyond all hymns of glory which mortals can offer.

And let us say: Amen.

May there be abundant peace from heaven, with life’s goodness for us and for all thy people Israel.

And let us say: Amen.

May the One who brings peace to the universe bring peace to us and to all the people Israel.

And let us say: Amen.

For the leader. A psalm of David.

May the LORD answer you in time of trouble,
the name of Jacob’s God keep you safe.

May He send you help from the sanctuary,
and sustain you from Zion.׃

May He receive the tokens of all your meal offerings,
and approve your burnt offerings. Selah.

May He grant you your desire,
and fulfill your every plan.

May we shout for joy in your victory,
arrayed by standards in the name of our God.
May the LORD fulfill your every wish.

Now I know that the LORD will give victory to His anointed,
will answer him from His heavenly sanctuary
with the mighty victories of His right arm.

They [call] on chariots, they [call] on horses,
but we call on the name of the LORD our God.

They collapse and lie fallen,
but we rally and gather strength.

O LORD, grant victory!
May the King answer us when we call.

For the leader; with instrumental music.

A maskil of David,

when the Ziphites came and told Saul,

“Know, David is in hiding among us.”

O God, deliver me by Your name;
by Your power vindicate me.

O God, hear my prayer;
give ear to the words of my mouth.

For strangers have risen against me,
and ruthless men seek my life;
they are unmindful of God. Selah.

See, God is my helper;
the Lord is my support.

He will repay the evil of my watchful foes;
by Your faithfulness, destroy them!

Then I will offer You a freewill sacrifice;
I will praise Your name, LORD, for it is good,

for it has saved me from my foes,
and let me gaze triumphant upon my enemies.

For the leader; on yonath elem reḥokim. Of David.

A michtam; when the Philistines seized him in Gath.

Have mercy on me, O God,
for men persecute me;
all day long my adversary oppresses me.

My watchful foes persecute me all day long;
many are my adversaries, O Exalted One.

When I am afraid, I trust in You,

in God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust;
I am not afraid;
what can mortals do to me?

All day long they cause me grief in my affairs,-a
they plan only evil against me.

They plot, they lie in ambush;
they watch my every move, hoping for my death.

Cast them out for their evil;
subdue peoples in Your anger, O God.

You keep count of my wanderings;
put my tears into Your flask,
into Your record.-a

Then my enemies will retreat when I call on You;
this I know, that God is for me.

In God, whose word I praise,
in the LORD, whose word I praise,

in God I trust;
I am not afraid;
what can man do to me?

I must pay my vows to You, O God;
I will render thank offerings to You.

For You have saved me from death,
my foot from stumbling,
that I may walk before God in the light of life.

A prayer of David.

Incline Your ear, O LORD,
answer me,
for I am poor and needy.

Preserve my life, for I am steadfast;
O You, my God,
deliver Your servant who trusts in You.

Have mercy on me, O Lord,
for I call to You all day long;

bring joy to Your servant’s life,
for on You, Lord, I set my hope.

For You, Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call on You.

Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer;
heed my plea for mercy.

In my time of trouble I call You,
for You will answer me.

There is none like You among the gods, O Lord,
and there are no deeds like Yours.

All the nations You have made
will come to bow down before You, O Lord,
and they will pay honor to Your name.

For You are great and perform wonders;
You alone are God.

Teach me Your way, O LORD;
I will walk in Your truth;
let my heart be undivided in reverence for Your name.

I will praise You, O Lord, my God, with all my heart
and pay honor to Your name forever.

For Your steadfast love toward me is great;
You have saved me from the depths of Sheol.

O God, arrogant men have risen against me;
a band of ruthless men seek my life;
they are not mindful of You.

But You, O Lord, are a God
compassionate and merciful,
slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Turn to me and have mercy on me;
grant Your strength to Your servant
and deliver the son of Your maidservant.

Show me a sign of Your favor,
that my enemies may see and be frustrated
because You, O LORD, have given me aid and comfort.
