The connection between Sukkot and Hashem’s own Tabernacle is made in the opening verses of today numbers seven’s Parsha portion.

In these verses, Hashem communicates to Moshe Rabbeinu that all children of Israel are to bring to Moshe Rabbeinu (or the Priest)

Leviticus Chapter 24

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃

1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:


צַ֞ו אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְיִקְח֨וּ אֵלֶ֜יךָ שֶׁ֣מֶן זַ֥יִת זָ֛ךְ כָּתִ֖ית לַמָּא֑וֹר לְהַעֲלֹ֥ת נֵ֖ר תָּמִֽיד׃


2 ’Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.
