Praises High in Valleys Low
A Poem of Praise
by Kimberly Davis
And may you bow your
knees to Hashem
Even through the strife.
And trust that He is ruler of all,
and has ordered
all the days of your life.
Though suffering may be painful
and too much for your mind to bear, trust that you are not alone;
and, yes, Hashem does care.
Too, trust there’s a greater purpose, which your eyes
may not be able to see;
that, veiled in flames of fire,
there too, glory just may be.
For through suffering
comes Hashem’s mercy
And through mercy,
and outpouring of His grace:
The foundations of hard-tested love And the strong roots
of unshakable faith.
So by faith, may your praises rise
and by faith, may your soul sing,
by faith may you give all glory
to the Holy Author
and Creator of everything.
And, with hands lifted high,
and your heart bowed very low,
may you wait upon Hashem with a most blessed hope.
Hope for the coming of moshiach, and Hope for the arrival of your King. Hope for the help of your Savior, Hashem—all glory be to Him.
Am Yisrael Chai!
